Sussex LIVE
The Montreal band Sussex takes its name from a small town (population: 4312) in New Brunswick. The band features founding members Rob Lutes (banjo, guitar, vocals) and Michael Emenau (vibraphone) alongside Joshua Zubot on violin, Ivanhoe Jolicouer on trumpet and flugelhorn with Sage Reynolds on acoustic bass, all combined create a pleasant surprise. In concert the band adds even more character to the well crafted songs! The first album “Parade Day” is being formally launched in Montreal on Friday February 5, 2016 at Sala Rossa ((514) 844-4227, 4848, boul. St-Laurent Blvd). The unusual instrumentation delivers a surprising sound completed by Rob’s vocals. This is probably the only time you will witness a banjo and vibraphone playing together!!
