The 2019 Grammy nominated Victor Wainwright and the Train rolled into Montreal for 2 shows on the Hyundai Blues Stage as part of the 40th Edition of the Festival International de Jazz de Montreal. The Train features guitarist Pat Harrington, bassist Terrence Grayson and Billy Dean on drums along with a horn section of Mark Earley on Sax and Doug Woolverton on trumpet. I’ve photographed Victor and the band performing over a half-dozen times and always walk away with a smile. Aside from being incredible musicians, they are all a pleasure to chat with.
