A singer-songwriter with influences ranging from Paul McCartney, Fleetwood Mac and Bob Dylan to Ryan Adams, Josh Rouse and Rufus Wainwright. Leader and founding member of The Calm, releasing their successful “Are You On My Side” CD in 2008 (Hyperbole Music). While touring Eastern Canada, Max decided it was time he broke out on his own.
Max Comeau has collaborated with Rob Lutes, Matt Stern, Matt Legroulx, Brad Albetta, Rob MacDonald and many other musicians. His solo album, “You”, was released in June 2015 and features over a dozen tracks. Inspired by the last few years he’s spent playing cafés, bars and theaters around Montreal.

Intensely passionate about music, Max is in constant search for new sounds yet he never tires of his idols whom he calls his “Pillars”. A musician himself, he released, as singer-songwriter, an album with The Calm in 2007 and, this past June 2015, released his first solo album, “You”. Max has also written a few plays and adaptations which he staged with his theater troupe in the early 2000s.
