Victor Wainwright and The Wildroots, played in and around Montreal and Eastern Ontario last Fall (2015). I got to photograph Victor, Nick Black, Billy Dean and Terrence Grayson performing in concert on two different evenings at two different venues. On both nights they delivered a blistering performance and brought the house down!! Victor explained, at times in great detail, the backstory to many of his songs, creating a very personal performance for the audience – many of which will certainly be present next time the “Piana from Savannah” comes through town. Many times during the show you forget you are in a theatre, as Victor makes you feel likes you’ve been invited into his living room, for an impromptu jam session accompanied by his friends Nick, Billy and Terrence. The high energy show will entertain blues fans and keep them coming back for more. Don’t miss Victor Wainwright and The WIldroots on their next tour.
