Shadows at Play at Montreal Pride – Montreal Fierte
Montreal Pride – Montreal Fierte Parade – has grown from a near underground event to one now supported by a large cross section of a diverse city. Political leaders of national, provincial and municipal levels marched to show their  support –  not participating is a political fumble. Participation is as important as being one of the thousands of supportive spectators,  lining  the parade route.
The bright sunny day gave life to shadows playing and moving along the paved street and turning into 2-dimensional abstract shapes – but still oddly reminiscent of  the drummer,  trumpeter or flag bearer – a charcoal sketch captured upon the paved road canvas  – an unconventional way to capture the unconventional of the Montreal Pride – Montreal Fierte parade.
